Applications are due in Mr. Nikont’s office by Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Student applicant interviews are scheduled for April 22 & 23, 2025.
Our Board takes the time to interview each applicant individually to get a better sense of who you are and your circumstances. While you may find the idea of the interview a bit unnerving, we are all local folks from the community who want to see you succeed and participating in our interview will serve as a warm-up for all the other interviews you’ll have during your life.
Another scholarship program available only to Big Horn seniors is the Lion’s Club scholarship programs. Their program is run separately from ours.

RENEWAL INFORMATION
Students who were awarded a BHEF Scholarship for year one (freshman year) can reapply for a renewal scholarship. There is no guarantee of a renewal scholarship. The student will be notified of award status by August 1. Please email the following items to be considered for a renewal scholarship:
- A letter of interest stating your accomplishments during your freshman year at college
- Freshman year transcripts with GPA’s for both semesters
- Address of where to send the scholarship award, include both the the admissions office and a point of contact for your college
